The man who died in an stabbing incident in Kildare yesterday has been named by gardaí as Mr Patrick Galvin of Eyre Street in Newbridge.
A 38-year-old woman was arrested shortly after the incident and is being questioned by gardaí in connection with his death.
Mr Galvin (50) was found suffering from stab wounds at a house in a Newbridge estate shortly before 10 p.m.
Deputy state pathologist, Dr Marie Cassidy, is expected to carry out a post mortem sometime today.
