SIPTU has accused the catering and fast food industry of "hypocrisy and duplicity" after talks on establishing a minimum wage adjourned at the Labour Relations Commission.
The union was rejecting an offer by employers to pay a minimum skilled rate of £145 for a 39 hour week and an unskilled rate ranging from £108 to £160. SIPTU is seeking unskilled rates of £165 and skilled rates of £185.
