Two people died on the roads in Co Limerick yesterday. Mr Michael McMahon (84), Kil duff, Pallasgreen, died when his car was in collision with another near his home at about 5 p.m. Earlier, a man in his 50s was killed when the car he was driving collided with a bus. The accident, at about 2.35 p.m., was three miles from Rathkeale on the road to Newcastle West.
The bus driver was taken to Limerick Regional Hospital where he was treated for shock.
