Two given bail over alleged air rage incident

Two men were remanded on bail today over an alleged air rage incident that left an Aer Arann pilot with a broken nose.

Mr James Graham and Mr Shane O'Flynn, both 22, were charged with assaulting the captain while on a flight from Dublin to Cork.

The incident happened on a regional service on August 14th earlier this year.

Mr Graham from Dean's Rock Villas, Cork City and Mr O'Flynn, from Rotunda Crescent, Clonsilla, North West Dublin, were charged with a section three assault under the Non-Fatal Offences Against The Person Act.

A medical report detailing injuries sustained by the pilot has been submitted and a file has been prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The pair were remanded on continuing unconditional bail and no application for legal aid was made.

They are due to appear again before Dublin District Court on December 20th. An earlier date for a return hearing was not set as Mr Graham is due to sit a number of exams in the first week in December.
