Two men arrested over the attempted armed robbery of a jeweller’s shop in Dublin have been charged in connection with the incident.
The men, one in his 20s and the other in his 40s, will appear before Dublin District Court at 10:30am tomorrow.
The attempted raid on the shop on Dawson Street happened at approximately 12.30pm on Friday when three men, one of whom was armed with a sawn-off shotgun, burst into the premises.
A scuffle with staff and members of the public ensued, during which the gun was wrested from the robbers and one of the raiders was seriously injured.

He was later taken to St James’s Hospital for treatment where he remains.
