London - A student was yesterday convicted of killing two elderly sisters in his speeding Porsche 944 while showing off to his school classmates.

Satvinder Nijjer (19), who was bought the convertible for his 18th birthday, showed no emotion as he was unanimously found guilty on two counts of causing death by dangerous driving at Stafford Crown Court.

Remanding Nijjer in custody pending pre-sentence reports, Judge John Warner condemned the defendant's father for buying his son the car in the first place.
