Liverpool will be without captain Steven Gerrard for tonight's Champions League third qualifying round second leg clash with Maccabi Haifa in Kiev.
Gerrard arrived in the Ukraine overnight with a stomach upset and has only recovered enough to be named on the bench.
Coupled with the loss of Jamie Carragher and John Arne Riise with ankle injuries, it is a further blow to the club's bid to reach the group stages as they hold a 2-1 lead from the first leg.
