The UK is currently highlighting some fine R&B pop/soul acts that are largely influenced by the cream of US acts such as TLC, SWV, Stevie Wonder, Toni Braxton, Aretha Franklin and Mary J. Blige. While the accents might be different and somewhat more cut-glass, Fierce (comprising Sabrina Weathers, Chantal Alleyne and Aisha Peters, right) look set to join the short list of worthy UK R&B acts.

With other influences ranging from reggae to house the trio have already chalked up four hit singles with more to follow come the imminent release of their debut album. Fierce play Dublin's remarkably chic Temple Theatre on Friday.
