Some 24 residents were evacuated from their apartment complex in Drogheda following the discovery of a fire in the building early this morning.
The fire was found in the basement of Kermon House Apartments, North Quay shortly before 2.00 a.m.
One woman was brought to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.
The scene has been preserved for examination.
