LONDON - A century's worth of records logging scandalous, secretive and forbidden marriages performed in the Scottish village of Gretna Green fetched £11,500 sterling at auction yesterday. The records were bought within two minutes of bidding by the Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies in Canterbury, southern England.
