A mass meeting of process workers, who claim they have been locked out of the Anglo Irish Beef Processing (AIBP) plant at Ravensdale, Dundalk since last November, is to be held next Tuesday evening after the latest Labour Court intervention appeared to have failed.
The 38 workers have been picketing both the Ravensdale plant and AIBP group headquarters in Ardee since then.
Their union, the ATGWU, claims it had been in negotiation with the company on line speeds last year when the company brought in temporary workers, who were paid up to £80 a week less than agreed rates for temporary staff.
