President McAleese will begin a three-day State visit to Romania tomorrow morning.
She will address a business dinner hosted by Enterprise Ireland for Irish companies operating in Romania and their partner firms in the evening.
Mrs McAleese will also will meet senior Romanian politicians, including the Prime Minister, Calni Popescu Tariceanu and President Basescu.
The President will be accompanied by her husband, Dr Martin McAleese and Ms Mary Hanafin, the Minister for Social and Family Affairs.
