The Nice Treaty on EU enlargement looks set to be approved by Irish voters by a comfortable majority of two to one, according to a poll published this morning.
The ICM-Ireland on Sunday poll found that 37 per cent would vote in favour of the treaty and 19 per cent against.
However, the poll also found that 35 per cent have yet to make up their minds, and that 54 per cent said they did not have a good understanding of the issues involved.
The poll was carried out last Wednesday and Thursday with a telephone survey of 1,001 people.
