PHNOM PENH - Cambodia said yesterday it wanted to capture the fugitive Khmer Rouge strongman, Mr Pol Pot, to stand trial before a world tribunal as former comrades turned enemies were said to be pursuing him deeper into the jungle.

"I hope that we will be able to take Pol Pot alive and send him to an international court," Cambodia's First Prime Minister, Prince Norodom Ranariddh, told reporters.
