Muzaffarabad - Police in Pakistan said shelling by Indian troops across a military control line killed four people in the Pakistan-ruled area of the disputed Kashmir region on Wednesday. State television reported that a woman was killed and six people wounded in some villages hit in Pakistan-controlled Azad (free) Kashmir.

But a senior police official, who declined to be named, said three people, including three children, were killed by "unprovoked firing" by Indian troops in Kahuta and Hajira sectors, raising the death toll to four.
