The Minister for Equality and Law Reform opened a new full time law centre in Newbridge, Co Kildare, yesterday. It replaces a part time service.

There are 14 divorce cases among the 138 current cases it is dealing with, Mr Taylor said at the opening, and more on the waiting list. He said the opening of the new centre brought to end this phase of the expansion of the legal aid service throughout the country. There are now 30 centres, seven in Dublin. The Newbridge centre will be run by Ms Verona Lambe, solicitor in charge.
