The death has occurred of Eileen Martin, mother of Minister for Foreign Affairs Micheál Martin. Ms Martin, known as Lana, lived in her Turners Cross home with her husband Paddy.
She died at Marymount Hospice in Cork city yesterday morning after a short illness. She is survived by her husband and children Micheál, Pádraig, Seán, Eileen and Mairéad.
Her removal will take place from O’Sullivan’s funeral home in Turners Cross at 7pm tonight to Christ the King Church. Burial will be after 11am Requiem Mass on Monday at St James’s Cemetery in Chetwynd.
