During the Great War, I remember, printed letters with various clauses to meet various eventualities became popular among the less accomplished penmen in the ranks. Now fashionable "Young America" has modified this convenience to meet the demands of the "fast" life. Printed cards, of a delicate shade of pink, are drawn up as apologies to meet the various occasions, such as dances, dinners, etc. The various breaches of etiquette are specified as follows:-

1 - Striking hostess with bottle.

2 - Spanking hostess.

3 - Excessive screaming.
