The Irish Council Against Blood Sports is to send video footage of a fox being mauled by terriers to the Minister for Agriculture, Mr Yates, and the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht, Mr Higgins.
A spokesman said the video shows two men with terriers "digging out" a fox from underground. The fox was terrorised and seriously injured by the dogs, the spokesman said. "We will be sending copies of the video to the two Ministers responsible for legislation in this area and to gardai. This is a major breakthrough for our campaign as we've never had this kind of revealing, brutal evidence before now."
