PEOPLE convicted of using illegal animal growth promoters should face mandatory jail sentences, Mr Tom Enright (FG) said. Calling on the House to congratulate the Minister for Agriculture and his staff in obtaining convictions, he said that correct judicial decisions had been made.

Mr Enright asked if the Government had any proposals to bring in mandatory sentences. He believed that those who used "angel dust" and similar substances should have to face jail.
