A man in his twenties is due to appear before Dublin District Court this morning charged in connection to the fatal stabbing of a man from eastern Europe on Saturday morning.

A Lithuanian man died from stab wounds sustained outside a flat at St Joseph's Villas, off the North Circular Road, near the junction of Portland Row and Summerhill, at 12.15 a.m.

A post-mortem was carried out yesterday on the body of the man.

A non-national (22) was arrested by gardaí in Mullingar, Co Westmeath, on Saturday evening and is being detained at Mountjoy Garda station.
