An Englishman accused of killing his brother-in-law by running him over with a truck has been acquitted of manslaughter by a jury at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

Steven Graysmark (42), of Sundale Avenue, Tallaght, was found not guilty of the unlawful killing of James Malone (31), of Foxborough Villas, Lucan, on August 29th, 1999.

The jury found him guilty of drunk driving but disagreed on a third charge of dangerous driving causing death.

Mr Justice Smyth set the sentence date for the drinkdriving charge for October 5th and remanded Graysmark on bail to July 20th when the dangerous driving causing death charge will be mentioned.
