A man cashed stolen cheques worth almost £1,400, Swords District Court was told yesterday. David Vard (40), who is now living at Lissadell Crescent, Malahide, Co Dublin, pleaded guilty to forging and passing 16 cheques in Swords, Malahide and Kerry, to obtain a total of £1,395, between June and March last. Vard paid £500 compensation into court.a He was remanded to May 7th.
