An 81-year-old former antiques and firearms dealer has been remanded in custody after he was charged with indecently assaulting a 12-year-old boy in Co Cork over 40 years ago.

Patrick Bassett was charged with 12 counts of indecently assaulting the young boy at an address in Glanmire in Co Cork on various dates between 1968 and 1970.
