A bank-appointed receiver has secured a High Court injunction preventing a man interfering with the receiver’s efforts to take control of four properties.

Gerard Burns is sole owner of a commercial property at Metges Lane, Watergate Street, Navan, Co Meath, and, with his wife Anne, also owns three residential units in Dublin. Both allegedly owe nearly €1.9 million to Danske Bank.

Ms Justice Mary Laffoy granted Fergus Lowe a continuation of an earlier order preventing interference with his efforts to take control of the properties.

Ms Justice Laffoy said she was satisfied Mr Burns and his associates, whether intentionally or not, had harassed a tenant of the Navan property. Locks changed by the receiver had been changed by Mr Burns.
