New Delhi - Millions of Indians yesterday voted in state elections which analysts said could spell the beginning of the end for the country's Hindu nationalist-led coalition government.

Exit polls last night said the Prime Minister, Mr Atal Behari Vajpayee, and his Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP, Indian People's Party) were set to suffer huge reverses at the hands of the main opposition Congress Party.
