Handicap groups welcome £35m

Organisations in the learning disability and mental handicap field welcomed the commitment of £35 million extra (€44.4 million) in a full year to tackle waiting lists for services. St Michael's House said it was "delighted" and that the money "will have a substantial impact on the delivery of services particularly to people waiting on residential care and those who are in need of respite care."
