German police have defused a time-bomb at a port near the northwestern city of Kiel but ruled out a political motive for the incident.
A passer-by at the Moenkeberg port alerted authorities to the bomb last evening and police destroyed it in a controlled explosion.
Police are keeping the details of their investigation confidential.
