Gardaí intend to speak to kidnap victim Ms Helen Judge this morning if it is decided she has recovered sufficiently from the trauma of the abduction.

The Co Kildare mother of three kidnapped from her home four days ago is still receiving treatment in hospital.

The 41-year-old was taken to hospital on Wednesday after she was found by gardaí unhurt but traumatised in a remote wood in the Omeath area of Co Louth more than 100 miles from her home. Gardai had been concerned about her health as she has a heart condition that requires prescribed medication.

Gardaí said they were following "a number of lines of inquiry" in an effort to arrest the gang believed to have been responsible for the abduction.
