Tuesday was the launch day of the Fringe Theatre Festival and people were flitting between the three launch shows: Hit And Run, Shopping And F***ing, and Louis Stewart and Honor Heffernan's concert. In the end, CoisCeim's Hit And Run proved the hottest ticket, perhaps because it was only in the System nightclub for two performances on one night. Choreographer David Bolger is currently working on both the film of Dancing At Lughnasa and The Secret Fall Of Constance Wilde at the Abbey and members of both casts as well as film director Pat O'Connor came along. Tony O Dalaigh and Fergus Linehan came from the theatre festival office while Ali Curran represented the Fringe.

Other members of the audience included James Conway of Opera Theatre Company; Andre Raynouard, the French cultural attache; Australian mime artist, Rowan Tolley, who is in town with his own Fringe show, Eleven Fifty Eight, and the British Council's Harold Fish.
