Gardai were questioning four Belfast men in relation to firearms offences last night after their car was stopped and searched in Dublin.

The four, aged between 29 and 44, were arrested by detectives shortly after 6 p.m. at Parkgate Street near Heuston Station. They were being questioned at the Bridewell station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, which allows them to be held for up to two days.
