Twenty one FAS workers in Nenagh, Co Tipperary, are placing the blame for the loss of their jobs tomorrow on SIPTU. The workers picketed the Nenagh SIPTU offices yesterday.

SIPTU, according to a North Tipperary County Council executive, is in breach of a FAS agreement by withdrawing its sanction for the extension of the 12 month recycling scheme.

The SIPTU branch secretary, Mr Paddy Kiely, said it wad "unfortunate" that the FAS scheme had got caught up in the row, but members must be the union's priority.
