London Irish have left top points scorer Barry Everitt out of their team for Saturday's crunch league clash against Leicester.
Fly-half Everitt makes way for Mark Mapletoft, who took over in the No 10 jersey at half-time during the 26-14 defeat against Leeds a fortnight ago.
With centre and player-coach Brendan Venter absent through injury, Irish feel that Mapletoft's considerable experience will be vital for the trip to Welford Road.
Elsewhere, Rob Hoadley fills the midfield vacancy left by Venter, while Geoff Appleford moves from wing to centre instead of knee injury victim Nick Burrows, and Kevin Barrett starts on the left-wing.
Irish currently have nine players unavailable through injury - Venter (knee), Burrows (knee), Justin Bishop (ankle), Kevin Burke (knee), James Cockle (finger), Glenn Delaney (ankle), Darren Edwards (ribs), Paul Gustard (torn biceps) and Richard Kirke (shoulder).
The Exiles go into Saturday's game, propping up the Premiership, one point behind Bristol Shoguns and Bath, who meet at Ashton Gate on Sunday.
