Madrid - The Dominican Republic's expulsion to Spain of former mediators for the Basque guerrilla group ETA has dampened hopes for future peace negotiations between the separatist rebels and the Madrid government. The Dominican Republic handed over three ETA members to Spain on Saturday, two of whom represented the group in talks in Algeria in 1989 with Spain's Socialist government of the time. - (Reuter)
