A five-week beginners course in bee-keeping starts next Tuesday at Wesley House, Leeson Park, Dublin. The course is being run by the Co Dublin Beekeepers' Association and it costs just £15. Kick-off time is 8 p.m.
The course is aimed at those with no previous knowledge of bee-keeping so it has a practical emphasis. It covers all the basics of bee-keeping and people should know enough to get going on their own at the end of it. The course will be taught by association chairman John Killian.
