Photography as a medium for young people is under investigation in an initiative entitled Challenging Images . Project co-ordinator Sean Doran, of the Patrician Secondary School, Newbridge, Co Kildare, says that the aim is to host a multi-media exhibition in May 2000 with the exhibition travelling to the partner schools - and the work to be posted on the Internet.
An EU-backed project, the Patrician's partner schools are in the city of Miskolc in Hungary, Aschaffenberg in Germany and Pisa in Italy. The project will be launched publicly this Thursday with a reception at 7.30 p.m. About 140 works will be on display. Phone Sean Doran at (045) 432410
