OSLO - Bimbo the dog answered the telephone when his Norwegian owner was out, triggering a crisis that brought out an ambulance, the police and the fire brigade.
The daily Verdens Gang said yesterday that a caller to Ms Unni Andersen, Bimbo's owner, thought the grunts at the end of the phone were from Ms Andersen and called an ambulance.
The ambulance workers found her door locked and called the police. They in turn called the fire brigade, who broke into the flat. There they merely found Bimbo, a small white dog. - (Reuters)
