TAIPEI - Tibet's exiled spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, met Vice President Lien Chan of Taiwain yesterday fir a private dinner. The unofficial, closed door supper at a downtown Taipei hotel was a prelude to a controversial planned meeting today between the Dalai Lama and President Lee Tenghui.
