The Supreme Court yesterday reserved judgment on an attempt by a Co Wicklow widow to have fresh evidence admitted in a case which she lost in both the High Court and Supreme Court 10 years ago.
Ms Barbara Hyland, of Duncairn Terrace, Bray, Co Wicklow, claims that over the last two decades documentation and information have come into her possession which she did not have available in her 1988 actions against Ireland, the Attorney General, and Messrs Michael J. Lucas, Brendan Hyland and Paul Butler.
This documentation was either wilfully concealed or not presented or if presented was not fully argued or explained before Mr Justice Barrington during the 1988 High Court action, she claims.
