Cork County Council:Mayor Derry Canty is travelling with one official to a trade show at Cook County, Illinois, with which the council says Cork has a trade relationship. Mr Canty will also travel to New York.
Kerry County Council
Mayor Bobby O’Connell will travel to Chicago and New York, accompanied by county manager Tom Curran. They will attend a number of business functions in both cities and will hold discussions with the Rose of Tralee organisers in Chicago.
Carlow County Council
Leas cathaoirleach Fergal Browne will travel to New York on behalf of chairman Michael Doran.
Kilkenny County Council
Cathaoirleach Michael O’Brien and director of corporate affairs John Mulholland will travel to New York. They will hold meetings with Tourism Ireland, IDA Ireland and the New York Kilkenny Association.
Longford County Council
Councillor Martin Mulleady will travel to New York, where he will be presented with a recognition award from the County
Longford Association of Greater New York.
Westmeath County Council
Cathaoirleach Fintan Cooney will attend Mass at St Patrick’s Cathedral in New York and will join the Westmeath delegation on the Fifth Avenue Parade.
Clare County Council
Mayor Tony Mulcahy and county manager Tom Coughlan are travelling to New York and Washington DC.
Cavan County Council
County manager Jack Keyes and cathaoirleach Winston Bennett are travelling to New York. They will use their time to talk to expatriates to promote the Fleadh Ceoil event in Cavan Town from August 16th-22nd.
Sligo County Council
Mayor of Sligo Jim McGarry and cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council Gerry Murray are in the US . The mayor visited one of Sligo’s twin cities, Tallahassee, from March 7th-14th while the cathaoirleach will be a special guest at the Oklahoma City St Patrick’s Day Parade. Deputy mayor Jude Devins will visit Chicago at the invitation of the Sligo Association.
Roscommon County Council
Mayor Tony Ward will meet members of the Roscommon Society in New York.
Louth County Council
Chairman Jim D’Arcy and one official will visit New York, where contacts will be made with the Louth Association and meetings held with the IDA and Enterprise Ireland.
