SELLING GOLD:Selling on gold from old boyfriends or because "it has gone out of fashion" seems like poor value given the prices you were offered for your ring. Isn't gold better recycled – bring your old gold to a jeweller and have something new made.

HEALTH INSURANCE
The Minister for Health Mary Harney told us when competition arrived we would get a better and cheaper service. Competition is here, the service is much worse and the cost of the VHI has increased with fewer entitlements. The VHI is wasting our money by not properly monitoring internal costs or the payments they make to hospitals and clinics. – Smilie
BICYCLE LOCKS
There is a lack of decent locks in Ireland, and any decent lock is then ridiculously expensive. In the Netherlands you can buy a heavy-duty chain lock for just €10, whereas here all you can get for €10 is the thinnest lock that will ensure that your bike will get stolen. – Maria
