A Co Clare parish priest who received serious injuries when attacked in his home has been moved from Limerick Regional Hospital to a private location to enable him to convalesce. Father Liam Kelly (62), parish priest of Parteen/Meelick, was stabbed seven times two weeks ago when two assailants, believed to be about 18 and 14, broke into his house at Parteen. He is expected to make a full recovery.

Gardai say they have made substantial progress. A circular of the two youths has been issued to gardai in Limerick.
