The RUC has said it is confident of an early breakthrough in its investigation into the fatal stabbing of Mr Hugh McKee in a north Belfast taxi depot. A sectarian or paramilitary motive has been ruled out.

The car used in the attack on Mr McKee was located by police yesterday on the Springfield Road in west Belfast and is undergoing forensic examination. A number of men were seen in the car near the offices of Orchard Taxis on the Antrim Road before the victim was set upon at about 2 a.m. on Wednesday.
