A retired member of the Brothers of Charity, who faces more than 70 charges of sexually abusing boys at a special school, has been sent for trial at the next sitting of Galway Circuit Criminal Court District in February. The 74-yearold man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is charged with offences at the Brothers of Charity Centre, Renmore, Galway, between 1965 and 1969.
