THE reopening of talks between the Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) and the Department of Education on the payment of royalties by primary schools was recommended yesterday.
A meeting in Dublin was attended by IMRO representatives, officials from the Department of Enterprise and Employment, and the Minister of State at that Department, Mr Pat Rabbitte.
Both Mr Rabbitte and IMRO agreed that, given good will on both sides, "a negotiated solution to the problem is possible."
