Leeds midfielder Lee Bowyer should find out this week if he is to face disciplinary action from UEFA after stamping on Malaga's Gerardo last week.
Leeds lost the UEFA Cup tie at Elland Road 2-1 and Bowyer's conduct during the game was widely criticised.
But a UEFA spokeswoman said European soccer's governing body was in no hurry to reach a verdict on Bowyer.
"We are due to receive the tape of the game sometime between now and Wednesday," said the spokeswoman.
"If we do use video evidence it (disciplinary action) won't be likely until January.
"There is no huge rush to look into this because Leeds are no longer in the UEFA Cup."
