Garda activity:Gardaí had arrested 45 people by yesterday evening for public order offences, mostly drunkenness and rowdy behaviour.
They also detained 17 people on suspicion of drug dealing and they made in excess of 310 drug seizures, mostly of marijuana, e-tablets, and small quantities of both cocaine and heroin.
James Johnson, a man in his 20s from Belfast, was brought before Dublin District Court on Saturday morning following an incident in the campsite on Friday night when a teenager lost several teeth and was taken to Naas General Hospital. Johnson was charged with assault and released on bail.
However, gardaí made a large number of arrests away from the festival venue when they stopped and searched vehicles on the main roads leading to the Oxegen concert.
In Monaghan on Saturday gardaí mounted checkpoints on the N2 Dublin to Derry road and stopped coaches and cars. Around 20 men, mostly from Northern Ireland and aged between 19 and 35, were arrested after drugs were found.
