UP to 25 per cent of the population will have to get new UHF aerials in order to receive Teilifis na Gaeilge, according to an RTE spokesman.

The average cost of the aerials, including installation, is under £30, according to Mr Tom McCarthy, head of reception investigations in RTE. However, a community arts publication in Connemara has claimed it is up to £60.
