A court has approved a £10,500 settlement offer to a Dublin schoolboy who was knocked down by a speeding unmarked Garda car.
Patrick Fagan, of Captain's Road, Crumlin, was carried on the bonnet of the car for some distance, Judge Harvey Kenney heard in the Circuit Civil Court.
The boy's counsel, Mr Patrick O'Brien, said that he had alighted from a school bus when he was struck by the Garda car, which was travelling at high speed. His thigh was broken and he was left with a difference of a centimetre in the length of his legs.
