TC Matthews (tcmatthews.ie 053-9484444) is offering Irish Timesreaders who present today's paper 30 per cent off all Missoni rugs, throws and cushions, only at its branch at 19-20 City Quay, Dublin 2.
This offer includes rugs to order. For example, the Rajasthan animal-skin shape in acid-bright colours (below)was €1,900 and is now €1,250. A Kareem rectangular design measuring 1.7m by 2.4m is reduced by the same. And there are Botanica 3ft circular rugs, designed to be laid like stepping stones across a hall, reduced from €950 to €650 each. Cushions are down from €120 to €80 and wool throws from €290 to €190. This offer runs from today until October 31st.
While stocks last, all six TC Matthews branches have a Velutto luxury velvet 100 per cent New Zealand deep-pile wool carpet reduced from €66 per sq yd to €36 per sq yd. The carpet comes in five colours: charcoal grey, mink brown, vintage gold, cream and taupe. A second textured velvet wool carpet by Ulster Elements was €78 and is now €35 per sq yd. This is available in 16 mainly neutral colours. In both cases underlay and fitting is an additional €12 per sq yd.
